“²⁸ For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he hasenough to finish it— ²⁹ lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, ³⁰ saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? ³¹ Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? ³² Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. ³³ So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.³⁴ “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?” Luke 14:28-34

The kingdom of God is a message of influence. God wants you to be a person of influence. He wants you to mature, have power and authority. If you come to church it’s because you want to be like Jesus. When Jesus opened His mouth, He knew the Father and was one with the Father. Know that when you open your mouth, people say that’s what it is. When you say yes it’s yes and when you say no you mean no. Your words need to have influence. Do what you mean and what you say. God doesn’t want you to be a weak Christian.

Having influence

The enemy will be in trouble when you decide to have influence. The tallest building means it has the most influence. If you’re the wisest in your crowd, you’re in the wrong crowd. The tallest tower in the world is in Dubai and has a lot of influence and power. Many times the enemy will look down on you because you don’t have enough influence.

If you want to build a tower, it comes with a cost. Take a look at your CDs, books, people around you and it will reflect what influences you. You want to have influence but you have the wrong things around you.

Begin to build

If you want to start to gain influence then begin to build a tower. If you stop building, people will ridicule you. You may have started something but you didn’t finish. Count your music, notes, friends and you will see if you can build a tower. You need to count the cost.

Salt is influence. When you’re salty, you have influence. You can have the worst soup or rice, but if you add salt it changes everything. You can’t be a foundation all the time. You can’t come here year after year and still be a foundation; still letting the same devil influence you. If you don’t finish what you started, people will ridicule you. But do not grow weary. Do not give up. Build your tower. People can step on a foundation but not on a tower. People need to climb a tower.

How do you gain influence?

You gain influence through knowledge, learning and studying. People make the mistake of walking with people that don’t have influence. When you have influence around you, the devil can’t push you around nor touch you. It’s important to have people who prophesy and lift you up around you. We must surround ourselves with towers for our own protection.

Right now you may be small, building a foundation, but build your tower. Get the right people around you.

Born to be a Conqueror

“¹³ You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” Matthew 5:13

When men trample you it’s because you have no influence since there are others that have more influence. Get into your word. Don’t let anyone come and stab you with your own sword. When demons trample over you it’s because of the lack of knowledge you have. The word of God says, ”my people perish for lack of knowledge.” You need to know how to use your sword. You must know your Word.

You weren’t born to lose but to be a conqueror, to be holy, to serve God and glorify Him. God called you and chose you. He chose you in this time. We are the people that are going to influence the White House, universities and everywhere we go. Let us be the salt in our jobs, schools and businesses.

What you should desire

God is going to do wonderful things in our lives but we need to be of influence. Your age does not matter; see it as generations will eat from your tower. They will call me blessed because of my tower. Keep maturing, keep seeking, read books, read the word, keep learning, attaining knowledge and applying it. Don’t lose your influence. If you lose it you will be mocked. Everything is written in His word all you need to do is to do it.

Don’t you want to know everything about the kingdom of God? When it comes to Jesus don’t you want to know everything about Him? Don’t you want to be like Him? Build your tower! If u want to build your tower, count the cost. What is it going to cost you to build that tower and accomplish that dream? Don’t put a limit on God. He can do anything you want Him to do. Your own family will be amazed. God didn’t call you to just be anybody. He saved you so you can have influence, power and be strong.

What Awaits

You would be ignorant to think that 2010 will end and you’re going to end like you started. How can you think that something good is not going to happen next week or next month? God wants to make you wealthy by blessing you. Seek Him and ask for new things. God wants to do new things and is ready to do something your life. This is the month of breakthrough and blessings and healings.

How to influence God

There are people that have influence with God. You influence God with boldness, a seed, passion and faith. Jesus has the most influence of any human being and He is ready to influence your sickness if you are sick.
