This is a church for people to run and lay down their lives. If any man wants to follow Jesus, he must first deny himself. Either you are on the cross crucified with Jesus or the Pharisee banging on the nails. We chose to die to live for others.
A little bit on offering…
The question is not about how much you have to give but how much you can do with what you have, and how far you can go with what you have. Read the following verse…
1 After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. 3 And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples. 4 Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. 5 Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” 6 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” 8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” 10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. John 6:1-10
If you don’t follow instructions, you will never prosper in life. Whenever God is ready to bless you, He gives you instructions. If you cannot follow them, you will not be able to go where He wants you to go and He will not be able to bless you. And if you’re not grateful for what you have, God will not be able to give you more. Sometimes we get preoccupied with what we don’t have instead of seeing what we already have. Be grateful with what the Lord gives you and treasure it. What counts is what you’re going to do with what you already have.
The Message…
24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, Colossians 1:24
We must make a decision to give ourselves fully to God. We must make a decision to give ourselves to people. If there’s no surrendering, you will have a battle within you. For example, you may have had a battle where you’ve wanted to do something but something inside of you makes you not do it. If you always allow your flesh to be in control and to have the last word over your actions, you will always have fleshy cravings and desires. The world will always be pushing you. But when you surrender completely to God, you will put an end to that battle.
Manifesting God’s love
To manifest the love of God, we have to surrender completely. We must give ourselves to others and do to others what we want to be done to us.
Christ in me is the hope of glory. That means there is still hope for Miami, for your neighbor, your parents, unsaved friends, and your boss. And guess what? You’re the hope. You’re the hope for your parents! It is not over yet. You are still in the picture. It’s not over as long as you’re there. As long as you have that person’s number there is still hope, its not over. There is still hope for our whole world. You are the salt of the earth. You are the solution. You are the light. You are what your family needs. You are the diamond in your corporation.
Hope
Hope: the feeling of what’s wanted can be had. Everything you want can be obtained. The series of events in your life and of others will turn out for the best. There is hope and Christ in me is the hope of glory. Christ abides in you who is hope of glory and so wherever you show up there is hope. Hope entered into that place; in school, home, and work. Hope entered because you entered.
You need to understand the value of what you carry. Some of you have been carrying millions of dollars as if you have two apple pies. You carry the light of the world. Open your eyes! Don’t let anyone come and put value on you. What you have inside is more valuable than rubies and diamonds. You carry nations and power in your belly. You carry the Son of God in you.
You won’t be blessed until you have the revelation of what you carry. That’s why you can say a word and a tumor can burst because its coming from within you. My value is not placed by people but by what I carry who is Christ in me.
Manifesting the love of God
To manifest the love of God:
- Understand what it is that you’re carrying inside of you which is the hope of glory. If you want to manifest the love of God you must know that what you carry inside is what people need. You’re not looking for the answer or solution, you already found it. The answer is Christ in me the hope of glory. You’re not looking for truth, Jesus said “I am the truth.”
When people ask, “who do you think you are?” You answer, “it’s not who I am but it is who I carry within me.”
When Christ is alive in you, then He will become alive in others. When I speak, passion flows through because He flows and lives inside of me. Jesus is the beautiful one. Christ is alive in me.
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
- We must be aware and get to the point that Christ is so alive in us that He will become alive in others. It’s Christ loving, preaching and ministering through you. Your prayer becomes one. Be available and He’ll take care of the rest.
Ask yourself
Where are you? Hanging on that cross or hitting those nails? You’re not looking for the answer; whoever is reading this, you are the answer.
