“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.” Matthew 18.8-9
God has a better way than what our own ways may be. His outcomes are going to be better than what our outcomes would be. It is important to follow Him so that we can be blessed. We must watch for a few things that if we follow and obey these things we will do a good job in life. God declares that we will make it to the other side. When we face a storm we speed up; sooner or later it’s going to rain again, but when it does, we will be able to face what is put before us. The Lord is our shepherd.
Watch Your Hands
The first thing to talk about should be our hands; our hands are anointed. Jesus is paying close attention to what and who we want or hold. If your hand makes you fall or forces you to get in the way of God, “cut it off”.
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ’ He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ’ In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Matthew 4.4-6
Your hands are so powerful that you are about to catch somebody. HOP leaders, be prepared to catch somebody. Use your hands to catch someone on the way down, use them for somebody who is about to quit. The bible declares that the angels will catch you; we are the children of God that will catch someone in their time of need. Its time to use our hands to do the will of God. Those hands will cast out demons. Those hands will heal the sick. Your hands are anointed. It is better for you to stay without an arm than to be living in Hell.
When we are told by God that we can’t do something, it hurts us; when it hurts its good cause you will know that your flesh is dying. Hurt is good; if it hurts it’s because you are dealing with God. It’s better to get to Heaven hurting, than to be lost forever.
Watch Your Feet
Your feet are symbolic of where you stand and where you go. They are symbolic of where you are in life. Blessed are the feet of those who preach the Gospel. All I see is my feet and the devil under them! Your feet were designed to step on the devils head.
You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip. I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. I have wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet. For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that I destroyed those who hated me. They cried out, but there was none to save; Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them. Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like dirt in the streets. You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You have made me the head of the nations; A people I have not known shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me. The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts. Psalms 18:36- 45
He is going to make your foot firm so when you chase your enemies, we can catch them. Every enemy that has got in your way, God is going to make you walk over them. Walk over all those spirits that the devil has placed before you. When God tells you to stop doing something; change.
Watch Your Eyes
When your eyes distract you from God, pull them out and throw them away. What you see will determine whom you’ll see. What you look at will determine where you stand. Where are your eyes fixed? The bible says “put your eyes on the author and the finisher of your faith.” Keep your eyes focused on the things of God.
What are you watching when your alone? Who are you looking at? Who are you touching? Who are you holding? Where are you standing? Where do you stand?
